2019 Omaha Lancers West Coast Prospects Camp

Camp Overview

The Omaha Lancers, a proud member of the United States Hockey League (USHL), and the Jr. Coyotes invite you to our join 2019 West Coast Prospects Camp for players seeking to play in the USHL.  The camp is “invitation only” for players primarily from the 2004 birth year. A select number of 2005's and 2006’s may be admitted. The camp will be held at the Ice Den Scottsdale from Friday, May 17th to Sunday, May 19th. The purpose of this camp:

  • For our staffs to both evaluate and monitor your development closely over the course of the 2019/20 season, in anticipation of future opportunities with our organizations. (Upcoming USHL 2020 & 2021)
  • For the player to become personally acquainted with our staffs and our programs. During this camp, we hope to share with you why we believe The Omaha Lancers offer an unparalleled path for both hockey development and personal growth as the premier franchise in the USHL.

Please report to the Ice Den Scottsdale (9375 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260) on Friday, May 17th at 3:30. A full camp itinerary will be provided upon registration. Each player will compete in at least (3) games & (1) team practice. There will be an informational meeting on Saturday for all players and parents. We are coming to the Phoenix area to evaluate some of the area’s top players. Please be advised that we intend to close the online registration once the teams are filled with completed registrations. We encourage you to register promptly.

USHL Overview

The USHL is the only Tier 1 junior hockey league in the United States and it is the fastest growing producer of NHL hopefuls. The USHL can provide you with a unique opportunity to work toward your NHL dream while maintaining your college eligibility:

USHL Players in the NCAA:

  • Over 95% of players in the USHL earn Division I college hockey opportunities;
  • 92% of college hockey players graduate from their respective college/university;
  • Over 50% of the captains in Division I hockey are USHL alums;
  • Over 40% of the players in the Ivy League played in the USHL;
  • 6 of the last 7 Hobey Baker Award winners are USHL graduates. 

USHL Players in the NHL:

  • A USHL alum has won the Stanley Cup for twelve consecutive seasons;
  • Over 40 USHL alumni competed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last year;
  • In each of the last 5 years, over 30 USHL players were drafted by the NHL including a new record high of 57 players in the most recent 2018 NHL draft including 7 first-rounders… more than any junior hockey league in North America.

Omaha Lancers Overview

Throughout both collegiate and professional levels of hockey, the Omaha Lancers are considered to be the flagship organization of the United States Hockey League, and among the premier Tier 1 juniors programs in all of North America.  The Omaha Lancers take great pride in its winning tradition and history of player development:

  • The Omaha Lancers have won 14 championships in its 32-year history, including 8 championships in the last 16 years;
  • Over 300 Lancers have gone on to play collegiate hockey, and 31 Lancers have gone on to the NHL, including current head coach David Wilkie.

If you already have your USA Hockey registration number for the 2019-2020 season, then skip Step 1 below and proceed to Step 2.  If you have not yet renewed your USA Hockey registration number for the 2018-2019 season, please complete Step 1 first and then return to this page to proceed to Step 2 below.

  • Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
  • Step 2:  Simply login with SPORTNGIN by clicking the "continue" button below and fill out the online application form.
